What’s Important in Life
This collection was born the year the pandemic started, when it all made me reevaluate what is really important in my life. It is a mix of ideas that I started creating in the digital world and brought them on to the canvas. Click on the images to see full description & story for each painting.

“Reborn”
As a pure act of braveness, Aurora emerged high up to the sky, away from her comfort zone. She came out, once again, of one of her protective shells and became completely vulnerable to the world so she could show her true self. Fearless of this exposure, she has already learned that transforming is a never ending lesson in life. Rebirth is necessary as many times as needed to become who we are meant to be and that has it’s own beauty.
Inspired by the painting of french artist William Adolphe Bouguereau : L’Aurore, 1881.
Transforming ourselves is a never ending lesson in life.

“The Intuition”
Even in the most arid and isolated desert, there will always be a door which leads to life. Once entered, it might be as beautiful and decorated as this one, but it will always depend on your perspective. Because even in the worst of times, when we believe we are all alone and forgotten by the world, we are not. We are always being guarded. By GOD our higher-self, by our spiritual guides and universal truths. We are part of this world, as we are part of the universe and everything in it. We are all connected. We just need to listen, be aware and follow our intuition.
Inspired by a photograph of the Atacama Desert in Chile. The door exists somewhere in the world, waiting to be opened, maybe you will find it.

“The Artist”
The woman observing you has been ready to be an artist for a long time. Perhaps she was one in another life and that desire continues to burn today! The lava is flowing from the inside out, her inner power flowing to the surface, ready to transform and bloom into that African tulip which represents her passion for art and life. She is releasing karmic shackles and being filled with light. The flower clears the path for creativity, helping her find and recover beauty in the dark so she can show to the world her power.
Inspired by a 1900’s photograph of British actress, Ethel Warwick, who was also a painter.

“Garden Lovers”
In ancient Greece, it was common knowledge these mysterious lovers turned into marble masterpieces every time they kissed so that their secret love would never be discovered. In every place they met, a beautiful white rose garden would grow and in every new kiss another rose would bloom in all of their gardens. Sadly, every time they spent time apart a rose would die, hence the short life span of these delicate flowers. Thankfully their love persevered, for there are many rose gardens throughout the world. This simple truth proves the adage “love conquers all!”

Higher Love
After great effort, Love has brought the Sacred Heart to the peaks of the highest mountains, where she stands with no signs of tiredness. Her message is simple, but powerful: the time has come for people to realize that LOVE should and always will be above everything. It’s through the heart that we find love, so raise your hearts and love! Love others as you love yourself and the world will become a better place.
Inspired by Jules Lefebvre’s painting: Pandora. Instead of opening Pandora’s box, Love raises and opens the heart.

The Key
This painting came to me during meditation. I saw the image in my mind and I felt that I had to draw it right away. Which is a rare thing to happen to me. So here’s the reminder of our inner wisdom. We hold the key to the universe, it’s all within us.

The Moon Portal
Like all of my portal artworks it came at first as a digital collage which I transferred into an oil on canvas.
This green door with a pink frame (both colors that represent the heart chakra) holds the number I’ve been seeing for years now: 1111. It is said that seeing this number is a reminder to keep going towards your goal and it is considered an angel number that is connected to good events. The full moon brings all the light and clarity for this to happen.
